Machu Picchu :: The Wall of Wonder ::
Incan stone artistry is made up of several techniques, as this picture illustrates. The wall of wonder is finely cut with masterfully placed stones; these stones rest solely upon each other without a joining adherent. So perfectly pressed together are they, one can hardly feel where one stone ends and the other begins. Just above, the terracing reveals a very different type of stone artistry.
